I believe that profitable trading is a learnable skill. People like Tim are proving that every day. I am not saying it is easy, but I have distilled down my own 35 years of pitfalls and mistakes and what to do and what not to do into a step by step methodology that is far, far, more sophisticated than using simple tools like technical analysis or trying to guess at the underlying fundamentals without an understanding of what makes markets move.

Trading is like no other profession
Trading is like no other profession. It's binary. You either win or you lose. No other profession is like that. You can be a lawyer, doctor, cop, and athlete; doesn't matter. There's no, you make it or you don't, with those professions. You can have a career even if you are a modestly successful lawyer or doctor or athlete. With trading, if you lose, you're done. And for many people that happens quickly.
On the other hand there is probably not a more exciting, rewarding, intellectually and mentally challenging occupation. Once you master it, it can really give you the freedom you've always desired.
